傳統的粵劇人，聽到李居明三個字便徬徨，因為他要「改良」粵劇。不過，我喜歡他的《粵劇毛澤東》，因為有戲味，劇情講述毛澤東和三個愛人的糾纏，劇本結構良好，充滿張力，觀眾情緒起伏。 不喜歡李居明新作《粵劇特朗普》，它的內容荒誕、穿鑿附會，硬把毫無關係的事情拉在一起，硬把講不通的道理說成某種政治意義，劇情豐富卻乏力，當它愈來愈誇張，就變得愈反高潮。真正收穫是看到一大群精采萬分的演員，他們能演、能唱，有些還能雜耍，這些優秀伶人，平常在演傳統粵劇，對於不看粵劇的觀眾，根本不會認識他們。李居明通過《粵劇特朗普》把粵劇普及化，他竟然有本事吸引到年輕觀眾入場，好像「外星人」首次去新光戲院探秘，讓新一代認識到如龍貫天、新劍郎、陳鴻進、王超群、陳咏儀等傑出前輩，他們實力雄厚，除了粵劇，其實還可演電影、電視…..
